Guantanamo Bay is Hella' Tight.

American democracy for all!
And our wishes have finally come true. The Middle East is about to taste US justice in Cuba. Suspected terrorists are due to appear at the accredited 'high-security courthouse' in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. A jury of their peers will no doubt, try, try, and try them again. If our shit ever stunk, it stinks like hell now.
Air Force Brigadeer General Tim Hartmann:
"In the course of trial they'll have opportunity to present their case, any way they want to present it subject to rules and procedures. That's a great freedom and a great protection we are providing to them. We think ... it is the American way."
Five suspected Middle Easterners, including Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, are due to be prosecuted for planning the September 11th attacks. That, my friends, really rounds things out.
I wish I still believed in terrorists. I really do. I believe in money. I believe in media for money and infotainment. I believe in capital and the politics of capital. I believe in spin like you believe the sun will rise tomorrow.
The interesting thing to note here is that the suspected terrorists will be tried not in an international court, but in a unilateral court. This is just one more unilateral American act of genius that will win us world wide accolades and international kudos. I have to piss.

Anderson Cooper is playing Wii Fitness right now on the television. Cut to commercial. Motherfucking CNN.

Bottom Line:
Whether these guys did the deed or not, they should be tried by a court that has legitimacy. I can't really say that an American military tribunal has that kind of legitimacy. Especially when confessions obtained through coercion and hearsay are permissible evidence. I mean, I'd tell you my balls are made of polonium if properly coerced. Fake justice doesn't justify anything. Supporting fake justice supports the end of freedom and the end of democracy. If I remember past the multiple walls of amnesia to the months after 9-11, I can remember when there was international political capital behind American policy. And then we spent that political capital like math class fun dollars on two wars, the Patriot Act, and all kinds of other bullshit. We have no more fun dollars.

There are international courts. If the American government has any kind of real case against these 'fools' we need to send it to an international tribunal. If not we might as well just send them to Brooklyn and have them gunned down by the NYPD.
